Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity for a business development or sales manager to find their next challenge. Green Ant Events has grown through a recession, and been highly successful through passive enquiries with no real external business development focus. As part of Green Ant's aggressive growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced business development manager to join the team and take charge of external business development.
You will work closely with the Directors, and will be responsible heading up the companies external sales by finding and winning new business. You will have had experience and be expected to make calls from the company’s databases, find new leads and networking to develop relations. You will have a proven track record in attending face to face meetings, generating business from scratch and building lasting relationships. You will have the drive to take responsibility for expanding your own client base and managing all areas of the sales process, from initial call’s, meeting clients, taking briefs and winning pitches.
This is a broad ranging position, but key requirements of the job include
Setting overall external sales strategy
Prospecting and identifying new sectors to target
Creating structured cold calling strategies
Building new relationships with clients
Taking new client briefs
Leading the pitch team
Securing new business for the organisation
Ideal candidates should be experienced in new business development within an agency, be an excellent communicator and able to build up strong client relationships. You will be working within an events agency, have a proven history, and be able to deliver results in a short period of time. High energy, determination and commitment are key parts of this role.
